You should really go right away. Mono can enlarge the size of your pancreas which is not good. If you are having pain on your left side, it needs to be checked into right away. It is illegal for any ER to turn anyone away, although they will probably want to call your parents. Go now!!

Where are your parents? also, what kind of sick are you? why dont you call one of your parents or go to your regular doctor or urgent care.
They are concerned about helping you because it is an insurance liability nightmare, but trust me, they are more concerned about who will pay the bill! If you have your insurance card, they will take you in a heartbeat.
