Answer:
holy,Sorry...no cure for genital herpes. No way to 'make it go away for good'.Her doc may prescribe an antiviral to her (like Valtrex) to try and keep her from getting outbreaks (like the sores she's now developing). The meds only lessen the occurrence of outbreaks...she'll still have them occasionally. She can still carry to full term and give birth to a healthy baby. She needs to completely honest with the doc so that they can treat outbreaks.
i'd tell her to keep going back to the dr's and get it sorted... i'm no dr but i'm sure that it can be cured...xxx
id say thats a risk she should NOT take! tell her to get on birth control and stay on it the rest of her life, im NOT KIDDING.if she passes that onto her baby, her baby will get sores all over its body MISERABLE!!!
There is no known cure for genital herpes. The outbreaks will lessen over the years. She can still deliver a a healthy baby vaginally as long as she is free of lesions, she can still give birth to a healthy baby via C-section.
There is no true cure for genital herpes. Some medication will make it stay "gone" for a while, but it always returns. If she wants to have a child, from what I understand, in order for the child to keep from contracting it from her, she would have to have the child via C-section. But yes, the baby should be healthy.
There currently is no cure for genital herpes. It is a virus that can lie dormant in your spine for a long time or it can activate itself at anytime.
Symptoms vary as well as intensity and duration.
Her doctor can prescribe suppressive therapy in the form of Valtrex or she can choose to deal with it or take medication only when she has an outbreak. Please note that a woman who has genital herpes can pass this on to their newborn if she is "shedding" the virus or has an active breakout at childbirth.
She should consult with her OBGYN and possibly consider having a C-Section
